Send Chocolate

When you send chocolate from Dan's Chocolates, a lot goes on behind the scenes to get your chocolate order to you. This page shows you some of what happens when you send chocolate.

Chocolate Making

First, we take big chunks of gourmet, high-cacao chocolate:

And we put those chunks into a large melter, where the chocolate slowly, well, melts:

While the chocolate is melting, we're busy making the centers of the truffles in large-scale appliances:

Once the chocolate is melted, we conch it in this machine to make it exceptionally smooth. This process we never rush.

Then the chocolate and the filling are put in a one-shot machine:

Then the chocolate is put into a cooling tunnel to cool down:

Once it is cool, it is enrobed with another layer of chocolate couverture to give it a beautiful, shiny look:

Then each truffle is decorated by hand, as we get ready to send chocolate:

After that, the chocolates are placed into biodegradable paper cups:
