  • Can I choose a specific delivery date?
  • Yes, by selecting Express shipping at check-out, you can specify an exact delivery date.

  • I just placed my Ground shipping order. How long will it take Dan's to ship it?
  • Ground orders are shipped from our factory within three business days of your order placement, usually fewer.

    Many orders are shipped on the same day they are placed, so be prepared for delivery as soon as next-day.

    These timeframes reference when your chocolate will leave our factory, not when it will be delivered. That depends on where you live. (Our factory is in Rhode Island. Shipments to the Mid-West and West will take more time in transit to be delivered than shipments in the Northeast.)

  • How far in advance should I place my order for my wedding or event?
  • You can order up to three months in advance and choose an exact delivery date by selecting Express Shipping at check-out.

    We suggest chocolate to arrive 5 - 7 days before your wedding or event for maximum freshness.

    Orders shipped via Ground shipping will leave our factory within three business days of your order placement. Then allow up to 7 business days in transit depending on your location. (Our factory is in Rhode Island. Orders shipped to the Mid-West and West will take more time in transit than orders in the Northeast.)

    Be prepared for delivery as soon as next-day. We will email you tracking information once you place your order.

  • Can I ship items in my cart to different addresses?
  • No. If you would like to ship chocolate to multiple addresses, please place a separate order for each address.*

    *EXCEPT for orders placed via our Super Snowman Sale during the holidays. These chocolate boxes can be shipped to multiple addresses with a single transaction.

  • I'm sending chocolate as a gift. Will the receipt include the price?
  • No, we do not include any receipts or prices with your chocolates as we understand many of our products are sent as gifts.

    Your confirmation number and receipt will be sent to the email address you provide when you place your order.

  • Will my chocolate melt during transit in hot weather?
  • During hot weather months, Dan's takes extra precautions to make sure your chocolates arrive safe & sound. We pack chocolates with ice packs (free of charge) and styrofoam to keep them cool while in transit. Also, all summer chocolate deliveries will be shipped Express so they arrive in 1 day. This prevents melting as well.

    *IMPORTANT: Please be sure someone is available to bring chocolate inside upon delivery during warm weather months. Our ice packs can only keep chocolate cool for approximately 24 hours. If your shipment is left outside for too long, there is increased chance of melting.

  • Are there any restrictions on where I can ship to?
  • - We currently ship only to United States addresses.

    - We are unable to ship to PO Boxes. (Except for boxes purchased via our Super Snowman Sale.)

    - We are unable to ship to FPO and APO addresses. (Except for boxes purchased via our Super Snowman Sale.)

  • I did not receive confirmation or tracking information after I placed my order. What should I do?
  • Please check your junk mail and your Promotions tab in gmail. Unfortunately, sometimes our emails end up there.

    If you still do not see the information you are looking for, contact us.

  • Why can't I choose Ground Shipping?
  • During hot weather periods, we need to ship your chocolate via Express Overnight Shipping in order to make sure it does not melt in transit.

  • Why is the Express Shipping charge on my Bulk Truffle order $25 or more?
  • We have a $25 minimum Express Shipping fee for bulk truffle orders - even for a single tray. This is due to their size, weight, packing & handling fees, and surcharges. Not to mention ice packs and styrofoam during hot weather periods. Fees above $25 are based on a percentage of the order's weight.

    To avoid these fees, choose Ground Shipping whenever possible on bulk truffle orders.

  • Does Dan's ever offer free shipping?
  • Yes! There are a few ways you can receive free shipping.

    1. During the holidays, from approximately November 15 - December 15, Dan's offers a special free shipping deal. Buy at least one pound of boxed chocolate and receive free shipping.

    2. All boxed chocolate purchased through Dan's Super Snowman Sale will be shipped (to multiple addresses!) for free.

    3. Dan's will have promos throughout the year for free shipping on certain products. Check our homepage regularly, or join our email list for updates.
